Bill Rodgers sorts plastic bottles and aluminum cans for EDWRF's recycling program. We've found that recycling give us significant source of funds. Members bring recyclables to the engine house each week. Bill sorts the cans and bottle and redeems the weekly haul at the recycling outlet in the Placerville Raley's parking lot.
Bill has managed the program since its inception in 2007. While the program yields less than $1,000 per year, it pays for tools, material for artifact renovation and welding gasses.
