Siding on the W&CV Ry Parlor Car

Two new volunteers signed up at the El Dorado County Fair this year. The first, Pete, is a retired carpenter and wood worker. He's agreed to work at the engine house one Saturday each month. Pete is going to help the El Dorado Western renovate Westside and Cherry Valley Railway Parlor Car No. 101.

WS&CV Parlor Car Siding

Eric Stohl and Rob McMillan install bead board siding on the West Side & Cherry Valley Parlor car last Saturday.

Rob is a professional carpenter who has volunteered his time for the parlor car project.

Holding the next board in the background is Logan, an eight-year old boy who donated his birthday money to the railway several years ago.

"Logan is old enough now to start helping," Eric said.
